Banner formats
PriceRunner offers banner advertising in the formats and dimensions below:
| Format | Dimensions | |
| Leaderboard | 728x90 | |
| Skyscraper | 160x600 or 120x600 | |
| MPU | 300x250 |
- Accepted file types: gif, jpg, html, flash
- Maximum weight: 40 kB for all banner formats and file types
- Looping and animation length: We don't have a maximum number of loops. We recommend as short animation length as possible
Flash
For all Flash banners the following criteria must be adhered to:
- Max frame rate: 18 fps
- CPU usage must be taken into consideration
- All flash banners must be delivered with a backup gif
clickTAG
For PriceRunner's ad system (OpenX) to be able to measure clicks, we recommend that clickTAG is used. clickTAG should be implemented in the following way in ActionScript 2.0:
-
on (release) {
if (_root.clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") {
getURL(_root.clickTAG, "_blank");
}
}
If a flash banner contains more than one click-through link, clickTAG should not be used. Instead, the links should be hard coded:
-
on (release) {
getURL("http://example.co.uk", "_blank");
}
Click here for more information from OpenX about Flash and more information from Adobe about clickTAG.
HTML / script / redirect
PriceRunner supports most ad servers on the market and has support for timestamp / cache busting and click tracking.
Image banners
File types: gif, png and jpg. Simple animations are allowed, providing that the resulting file does not exceed the size limit as specified above.
