What is positive?Network speed is generally fast if it is not out of order.
What is negative?The installation workers had missed the appointments twice. On the 3rd appointment, they installed everything (Broadband, TV and phone), but none of them was working on that day. Everything was fixed nearly after 1 month (and they still charge me in full).
It is normal to wait more than 10 minutes in their customer service line. My longest experience is 1 hour 5 mins. After they merged into Virgin Media, the general customer service line seems better. But now the technical support line for broadband begins with 090 (25p/min).
I recently moved my home and decided to disconnect Virgin Media (former NTL) for good. I did all what they asked me to do, but they never disconnect the service in time. And they are still charging me everything in full.
SummaryMaybe cable connection is much faster than ADSL. But comparing with their terrible service, I'd rather use any other company, even if they only provide slightly-slower ADSL. My recommendation is, never use NTL (now part of Virgin Media).
