CDJ is a term used to describe a CD player which operates similarly to a turntable for the purposes of DJ-ing. Originally, the term referred to the CDJ1000 by Pioneer Electronics, but the term has since undergone genericization to include any CD player with plugged into an audio mixer for the purposes of DJ-ing.
