A Mono type amplifier reproduces a single channel output while a Stereo type amplifier sends a left and a right channel out thru its speaker outputs. Stereophonic sounds (Stereo) are two or more independent and reproduced audio channels. Amplifiers that can reproduce more than two channels are called Multi Channel amplifier.
A bridgeable amplifier offers the possibility to merge two channels into one MONO channel. Normally with a higher effect.
