Choosing a cheap netbook

Laptop computers are excellent solutions when you’re looking for all the power of a desktop PC in a mobile and easily transportable form.

However, netbooks go a step further, offering a good level of computing power inside a size which is even smaller than a traditional laptop.

This has given them the nickname of ‘mini laptops’, as these compact devices are extremely light, small and easy to use in a diverse range of environments.

If you’re looking for a cheap netbook in particular, you should consider what the bare minimum specifications are which will be suitable for the sort of tasks you need to achieve. Generally notebooks are used predominantly for typing and light internet browsing.

If this is the case for you, you should ideally practice typing on your netbook before purchasing – this is to ensure that its keyboard size is comfortable for your hand size and typing style.

Finally, consider getting an extended warranty for your notebook. While this will initially increase the expense, it’s often a worthwhile investment as notebooks can be easily dropped and broken.
