Shopping Safely on the Internet with PriceRunner and ISIS
PriceRunner want to ensure you have a safe and easy shopping experience with our listed retailers. One of the tools to help you gain more information on a retailer is the IMRG logo next to their names in the listings. Here you will find out what it means for a retailer to be an IMRG member.
Wherever you see this logo, it means that the relevant retailer has:

Which shops have been given ISIS accreditation?
Where a retailer has been given ISIS accreditation, we put an icon with their information wherever they appear in search results. For example:
What protection does the ISIS scheme offer me?
All retailers that take part in the ISIS scheme have accepted to work to a code of practice that affects content on the website, payment processes, delivery, and post-sales service. Stores are not legally obliged to follow the code, but not doing so could result in their ISIS accreditation being withdrawn.
Remember that the ISIS scheme does not guarantee that you will not have any problems. It acts as a 'best-practice' guide for retailers, and is a symbol for customers that the retailer is generally trustworthy. If you are unsure about buying from a particular retailer, then you should also check the reviews and the forums for people talking about their experiences.
Can I trust shops that do not have ISIS accreditation?
Yes. Although ISIS is a widely accepted industry scheme, retailers are not obliged to sign up, and not being accredited does not imply that a retailer is untrustworthy. Shops can have their ISIS accreditation withdrawn for failing to follow the code of practice.
What should I do if I am having problems with an ISIS retailer?
If you are having problems with any retailer, you should get in contact with their customer service department. A telephone number and email address can usually be found on the retailer's information page here on PriceRunner. State the exact nature of your problem, and include all the relevant details that will help them to solve your problem. Keep a copy of the email, and give them 5 days to respond.
If you have heard nothing in 5 days, then you can email the IMRG (ISIS@imrg.org) and they will ask the retailer to respond quickly. Your email should include enough information for the retailer and the IMRG to resolve your problem. Include:
What should I do if I am having problems with a retailer not accredited by ISIS?
You should contact the retailer's customer service department with the details of your problem. You should allow the retailer 5 days to respond. If you are still having problems after that time, contact your credit/debit card provider to find out what cover they provide.
Also, write a review and/or post in the forum. This will alert us to problems, and warn other users.
Who runs the ISIS scheme?
The ISIS scheme is run by the largest e-retail industry organisation, the IMRG. It is also backed by the Government. If you have more questions about either the ISIS scheme, or the IMRG, see their website at www.imrg.org.
