Review:
AEG L75670NWD

This washer-dryer excels at the basics and dries especially evenly and well.

If you want to save some money and space in your home you might like to consider the superb AEG L75670NWD washer-dryer. Kill two birds with one stone in style!

Review:

This excellent freestanding machine from AEG has outside measurements of 85 cm (H) x 60 cm (W) x 52.2 cm (D) and can take a wash load of up to 7 kg or a drying load of 4 kg. It’s pleasing on the eye, slimline, with a decent-sized door opening, and is incredibly simple to use. It comes with 14 auto programmes to cover a variety of different fabrics and wash options – including quick wash for those in a hurry. It also has a ProTex drum which uses a system of bubbles to penetrate your clothes, moving them in the drum more freely to protect fabrics and give a better wash. There’s a delay timer of up to 24 hours so you can take advantage of cheaper energy rates at night, a powerful spin speed of 1,600 rpm, and sensor drying so your dryer will automatically cut off when it detects no further moisture in the drum.

The L75670NWD pulls off all three main functions of washing, spinning and drying with aplomb. It has an excellent double whammy of two A-ratings for its wash and spin performances. The moisture detection function in the dryer is extremely accurate meaning your fabrics always come out of the machine beautifully clean and dry. It doesn’t rinse with the best, but this is a minor quibble and you won’t find powder marks. It’s also pretty efficient, with an ‘A’ energy rating.

Finally, the noise levels while washing and drying are remarkably quiet (49 and 59 dB respectively), although it does get a bit irksome during the spin cycle with an output of 76 dB.

What’s hot:

  • Cleans and spins very well
  • Save space - washer and dryer combined
  • Dries effectively

What’s not:

  • Doesn’t dry especially quickly
  • Rinsing average
  • Some cycle times are a little long

Why you should buy it:

This is a superb washer-dryer with some nice features, but more importantly it’s super-effective. It could dry quicker, but your fabrics will be stunningly clean, brilliantly spun, and evenly and thoroughly dried. UK buyers – put this on your shortlist!
