Induction hob
Which similar products have you used?
None
Summary
Very pleased with the hob's performance and much easier than expected to adapt to after using gas for years.
How long have you used the product?
Less than 1 month
- What are the strengths?
- Really responsive heat - I've been cooking on gas until now but I've had no problems getting used to this hob. It adjusts to the heat settings immediately. Each cooking zone has equal capacity so I 'm not limited in where to place each pan.
The power boost is amazingly powerful - it seems much hotter than the hottest setting on my old gas hob.
I had to buy two new sets of stainless steel saucepans and the milkpans have 11cm diameters so I was concerned when the booklet said to use saucepans with minimum base diameter of 12cm . However, my hob is working fine with these smaller pans.
The timer function is very useful and the hob is a doddle to clean.
Also, this hob comes with 5 years guarantee as standard so I'm hopeful that this indicates that it's going to be reliable. Time will tell.
- What are the weaknesses?
- To stir something in a pan, you have to hold on to the handle otherwise it slides around on the hob because the glass is so smooth.
