I have to disagree with the previous story. A long standing Miele user I had the same problem with the tight seal on the door. I remembered the yellow peg attached to the back of the soap drawer that you use to lever the access panel to the filter and Ive been using that to lever the door until the rubber gives a little. In short if you appreciate good wash results and looking after your fabrics you will not better a Miele. It is bloody marvellous. I thought I coud not better my 10 year old W960 washing machine and was wary of changing to the washer dryer but Miele just get better and better. Im so pleased its untrue, if it is possible to get excited about a washer dryer Im in orgasm. Anyone who has inferior brands like Hoover, Hotpoint etc you try Miele you absolutely will not be disappointed, and no I dont work for them

I have long experience of Miele and how excellent the build and performance quality is. In short if you buy anything with a Miele label you know you are buying the absolute best and I guarantee you that you will be pleased with it. In the very unlikely even you have to contact Miele the response is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble. Forget extended warranties you simply do not need them. Use the money you would have spent on a warranty with an inferior brand and use it towards your Miele

What are the weaknesses?

The only weakness is if you fall on hard times you might not be able to afford to replace it with another Miele when it finally comes to the end of a very long life.

Stop Shoddy and poor Customer Service

On the 12th January 2006 at approximately 14.00 I took delivery of a Miele Washer Dryer WT 2670. After reading all the glowing reports about Miele products I could not wait to try it out. By 14.15 the door would not even come open, after all there is no handle to assist with opening it!!! I was unable to even start to use it.

I phoned Miele and was informed that the seal is very strong surrounding the door. I eventually got the door open, a frail person would have had no chance whatsoever opening the door and would have had a seizure or a heart attack.

The gentleman I spoke to at Miele was as helpful as he could be. This was a new machine and he did not even have a manual to refer to. He advised me that someone would be ringing me back. Like a lot of companies these days with poor customer service, they of course never did. In the interim period I persevered with the machine

Jag brukar ha ett ganska distanserat förhållande till hushållsmaskiner, men den här tvättmaskinen har jag faktiskt blivit lite förälskad i! För första gången någonsin tycker jag nästan att det är roligt att tvätta, för att det nu har blivit så enkelt och maskinen gör så mycket åt en automatiskt.
Enda anledningen att jag inte ger den högsta betyg på alla punkter är att jag bara har haft den ett halvår, och ännu inte kan avgöra om den är prisvärd - den är ju trots allt dyr, men om Mieles målsättning stämmer, att man ska kunna använda den i 20 år, så tycker jag att den då faktiskt är prisvärd. Men det återstår som sagt att se...
Vad gäller övriga alla övriga aspekter: jag har naturligtvis inte provat alla maskiner som finns på marknaden, men av dem jag har provat är den här fullständigt outstanding, det är faktiskt så att det inte ens går att jämföra. Mycket pengar, som sagt, men om det inte är ett problem: köp!

Vad är positivt?

Extremt lättanvänd, tyst och gedigen - tex när den centrifugerar känns det bara som en lätt vibration utanpå maskinen. Tvätten blir både väldigt ren och torr, vilket tidigare maskiner jag provat inte alltid har lyckats med. Det finns också listiga funktioner som underlättar för en om man som jag är lite lat - glöm tex att behöva rensa luddfilter och tömma kondenskärl, den här maskinen pumpar själv bort torkvattnet och har ett speciellt program (sju minuter långt) för att spola rent invändigt efter en torkning. En annan bra finess är att den känner av hur mycket tvätt man har lagt i, och då kan tala om för en hur mycket tvättmedel man ska använda.

Vad är negativt?

Vikten när man ska bära den uppför trapporna och installera den - den väger inte mindre än 108 kg! (Fast när den väl står på plats är vikten förstås bara ett plus, eftersom den skakar mindre vid centrifugering då, och förhoppningsvis även ett tecken på hög kvalitet.)
