An excellent TV set but with inadaquate operating & setting up instructions.

What are the strengths?

Lovely colour, even though I experimented with adjustments once I had downloaded the complete Instructions onto my laptop.
The sound is very good & I have my DVD player/recorder hooked into the TV's speaker system. When playing music I set the sound to the SRS TruSurround setting & the result was excellent for TV speakers. I have since had Virgin's V+ system installed & mainly record movies. I sometimes need to adjust the screen size from 16:9 to Zoom 1 or 2 depending on the film to fill up the screen.
It took a bit getting used to the 37" screen size after using a 28" TV, but I'm fine with it now.

What are the weaknesses?

The few pages in English in the Owner's manual that come with the TV set leave a lot to be desired, & certainly don't do justice to the quality of the set itself. Since this is my first LCD set, & my first TV replacement for 10 years I would have thought the instructions & diagrams would have been more explicit & detailed. E.g. connecting the stand to the TV was a real pain. How you're supposed to insert the 4 bolts through the stand into the TV set at the bottom of 4 tubular/cylindrical holes about 2" deep is a mystery. Not having a magnetic screwdriver & unable to see if the bolt holes are lined up at the bottom is nigh on impossible. I was only able to get one bolt screwed in properly. Howeve, once the TV is set up on the table & the weight of the set is on the stand there's no problem.
