Getting Lost
Summary
Not a bad unit. the screen display is good and it will remeber locations you have entered. This is good for repeat journeys. The GPS can send you through some towns as it thinks it is the better route but in the rush hour traffic it will add extra time to a journey. It is a bit pricey for this, they have spent time on adding all the extra bit for the software rather then concentrating on sorting the route finding solutions out. Overall quite a good unit and better then a friends TomTom

- What are the strengths?
- Good detailed mapping and the screen is easy to read. The Bluetooth capability had some problems to start with but after visiting Garmin website and downloading a software update this was cured.
- What are the weaknesses?
- The map can lock out sometimes. This is really annoying when you are lost and need to reset the system by turning the power off. Unless you know an exact postcode and house number it is hard to find an address. It won't allow for a name of a house or building to be entered which is a bit stupid as most of the addresses I use are for named and not numbered properties. Not very good for finding some remote farm in the Welsh Hills.
