Summary

I was originally worried when I read the 25 hours of recording time on the hard drive was made up of only 4.5 hours of top quality filming. I did however find 4.5 hours top quality recording to be more than enough. Although digital camera picture quality was poor, video recording is excellent and this is main reason for purchase. This camera is ideal for most people wanting holiday films etc. Perhaps quality for the professional isn't good enough but the average person will have no complaints with this camera.

No need for tapes or dvds. Good quality recording. Camcorder is very small and light. Easy to use. Powerful zoom. Good accessories and software included for editing films.

Battery could have been better. Digital camera pictures were low quality. Microphone picked up noise from cross wind.

The JVC GZ-MG21 is extremely light and tiny which makes it easy to move around. It has a good capacity and has many hours of recording time.

What are the weaknesses?

It has poor video quality and an awkward control scheme. The image stabilization is a joke. It definitely is not a product for big hands.
