Does the job fine
Summary
Superb value for money. We've set it at night with the timer and woken up to lovely fresh bread. Only used five times so far as I only got it this week, but I'm delighted with it so far.
I don't see why units at two to four times the price sell!
Which similar products have you used?
None - although compared notes with friends and family who have more expensive units
How long have you used the product?
Less than 1 month
- What are the strengths?
- Price - astoundingly cheap at £25 from Argos
Functions, timer etc all work fine
Manual is very good and must have been re-written between some of the reviews posted here and now. It's plain English and very helpful if a bit patronising (it tells you to put a tissue under your chin when eating warm bread with butter so you don't stain your clothes with melted butter!).
- What are the weaknesses?
- Build quality is average - the sticker that also has the buttons was lifting when I unpacked the unit - it has stuck down ok with light pressure.
I'm not sure how long the non-stick on the baking tin will last. It looks a bit thin, but maybe I'm wrong.
Apart from that fine so far.

Wonderful Value
Summary
Brilliant value for money! Go on, get yourself one. What else can you buy for this money? Even if you don't use it very often, it's hardly a fortune! Very very pleased! I use it every day. Or my wife does !!!

- What are the strengths?
- Makes a really good loaf of bread, as well as the other usual things like making pizza dough, cakes etc.
I put it on the timer for a fresh loaf to eat for breakfast, but it went 'walkies' during the night, and fell off the kitchen worktop onto the floor! Although it stopped, and I didn't get my loaf, it withstood the bang, and still works perfectly. Don't place it too near the edge of the worktop!
It's strong enough to stand a fall of 800mm onto a solid tiled floor, fantastic value for £24.99 at Agos, does the same as the ones that cost up to £100 and I recommend it fully. Why spend more. It makes a horizontal loaf, (not vertical) nice shape, just lke you buy! Paddle makes a small hole in base of loaf, but not a problem. Hardly any washing up to do either, just the measuring jug, and spoon measure, the non stick bread bowl and paddle, all very functional. Takes me no more than 4 mins to measure every thing out and press the start button. From there on it's completly automatic!
- What are the weaknesses?
- Havn't found any yet!

Summary
The qyuality of bread is as good as the quality of ingredients used. I have used Waitrose organic strong white flour with excellent results, and will try others.

- What are the strengths?
- Amazing value for money - £24.50 on special offer from Argos, who delivered it promptly. Bullshit-free, user-friendly, logical manual. Easy to use, and delicious results. The cheese and onion bread is particularly yummy.
- What are the weaknesses?
- The manual needs proofreading, though one can work out what they are trying to say. The manual also promises to fall apart rapidly, so I will photocopy the recipe pages and get the photocopies laminated.
Unattractive-shaped loaf - a rounded off, rather tall oblong. No choice of loaf size or shape, but one could hardly expect this for the money. If things go wrong, there's no address in the manual.
