I will mention first the screen on this phone which is 240 x 320 Pixels / 262k colours, i have to say that this is the brightest and sharpest screen I have seen on any phone, the quality is superb, colours are very vivid and bright and easily beats the Sony Ericsson K750i. The camera on the D600 is 2 mega pixels which is the same as the K750i, when I purchased the D600 I had my K750i with me and I was able to compare the camera quality on both phones, the camera on the D600 was a lot more sharper and has I have mentioned the colours were a lot more vivid and natural. The camera on the D600 has a 4 x zoom, a flash, you can also take the photo in either black and white, negative (this is like looking at a film negative of the picture) sepia (a bit like black and white) sketch (the picture is like something you would draw on the old etch a sketch).

The menu layout is very very simple and is self explanitary. In the applications menu is an MP3 player (self explanitary) voice recorder (this is used to make recordings of things that you want/need to remember, instead of writing them down, this is an handy feature) world clock, alarm clock, calculator, convertor ( this used to do conversions from miles to km, temperature, weight etc. Next menu item is the file manager which is where any photos, sounds, music, ringtones are stored. Next is the browser which connects you on to WAP (mobile internet), next is messages, this is where you write text and picture messages, the calender, next is the camera, from this you can either take photographs or record video clips, the length of the video clips is dependant on the size of the memory card, which is an optional accessory. Last but not least is the settings menu from here you can set the time, alter the slide setting (this is used to alter when you slide the front of the D600 up, if this will answer the call and also when you slide it down to hang up the call) the short cut key, with this you can program the directional pad to perform various functions without having to go into the menus and finding the requested function, volume key (turns the earpiece or the loudspeaker volume up or down.

There is a menu in the settings called extra settings in here you can select to answer the phone by pressing any key, next is voice clarity ( this is used to clarify the incoming and outgoing sound and also to reduce background noise) I have to say that the sound quality on the D600 is superb, it is very loud and clear and beats any phone that I have owned, people who I speak to comment on the sound clarity and some people even say that it is very loud.

Next is the display settings, this is used tyo change the wallpaper (this is the picture that is displayed on the phone when its not been used) you can also change the text colour for the menus and the background colour for the menus. Next is the sound settings from here you can change the ringtones( this phone can handle MP3 or midi ringtones although the ones that are on the phone are not the best) but you can easily make your own MP3 ringtones with the right software and the copyright owners permission, from in here you can also change the message alert tone. Then there is the bluetooth menu which is used to switch bluetooth on/off and also pair up new bluetooth devices. And thats about it, this is a brilliant little phone and I have to say its the best phone I have owned so far, and ive owned a few, in my opinion it beats the Sony Ericsoon K750i easily and thats a good phone, just in case you are un decided between the K750i and the D600.
