split induction/traditional hob |
| What are the strengths? |
Two induction rings at the front of this hob which give fantastic heating speed and the 2 rear rings are a halolight type that also heat quickly. The timer can be set on each ring and switches it off automatically at the end of countdown.
We bought this unit for the best of both worlds and it didn't mean changing all our pans. Frying is difficult on induction, so we use our non stick tefals on the back rings - all eventualities covered! |
| What are the weaknesses? |
The unit is held into the worktop with clips that need to be screwed into the edges of the worksurface in exact locations. The screws were the cheapest ones around because the first one sheared off its head. I was able to extract the remaining screw. I drilled the rest of the hole (no instructions to do so) but the next screw also sheared off at the head. For the sake of a couple of quid's worth of screw this really left me with a problem. (I had a solid wood top - beech block from ikea so be warned if you've something not chipboard) |

Great price for a slice of induction cooking (4 x inductions can be £700) |
