| Great machine, quiet main motor, looks good, good value, large drum. | |||
| Wash times far too long (2 hrs) compared to other machines with A rated washes. No hot water intake, which means all your water heating will be electrically heated - potentially much more expensive. The drum is constantly rotating during the wash cycle. My previous machine (A-rated wash) washed without the drum constantly rotating. I suspect my clothes in this new maching will wear out that much quicker now, given the additional friction every time clothes are washed. | |||
| Most impressed by the very quiet main motor. It is virtually 100% silent during the wash cycle part - honestly! You do hear the clothes sloshing around in the drum though. You do hear the other motor(s)/pumps - average noise level for these. The higher spin speeds are noiser of course, but still quieter that the other 3 machines I've had over the past 25 years.
I don't understand why the wash cycles are so long though - around 2 hours. My previous washer dryer was A-rated for washing, yet the entire cycle was under 1 hour. You can of course reduce the 2 hrs on this machine to around 1 hr, but only if you select a quick wash option or similar. |

| Very good for a washer dryer! | |||
| Washes and dries very well. Quiet in operation - particularly so when washing at 30 degrees. Spins clothes with excellent efficiency and water extraction is incredible.

|||
| For washing there is no 'quick wash' option. For drying there's no 'low heat' setting. Both these features would have been very useful, adding to the functionality of the machine. | |||

| Terrific | |||
| Most striking is the excellent build quality; there is no thin plastic - even the drawer for chemicals is robust - and the back is finished, unlike the bare metal of my old washer and dryer. Second, the control panel looks complicated but is actually easy to use; one button equals one function. Third, there are no filters and the machine is self-cleaning; fluff is presumably spirited out via the waste pipe, unlike with my old dryer which was almost impossible to clean. Fourth, the machine is astonishingly quiet; even at the 1600rpm spin speed there is no juddering or shaking and, for a large part of the cycle, it is difficult to tell that the machine is even on when I am in another room. Finally, the quality of washing is noticeably superior to what went before (15-year-old Hoover washer + 7-year-old Zanussi dryer), which surprised me; whites are really white and, among other things, the nap of towels is noticeably brought up. | |||
| Very few. The wash and dry cycles seem to take a long time (almost four hours for some cottons), but I don't have experience of washer-dryers so that might be common to the type. Second, the machine is heavy - 84kg or over 180 pounds! Finally, as another reviewer pointed out, the cold fill pipe is rather over-engineered and comes with a valve to shut off the water supply if the pipe splits. Unfortunately, the valve is a cylinder about four inches long and an inch and a half in diameter which meant that I could not attach it to my cold water inlet because of other pipes being too close at hand. So I gave the AEG cold fill pipe away and bought a standard one for about £7; my old washing machine had lasted 15 years with an "inferior" pipe and I think I can take my chances! | |||
| Recommended. The problems are only really with installation and, after that, operation is ridiculously smooth. | |||

| Have previously had Indesit, Hotpoint and Zanussi. Needed a replacement product after my good old zanussi gave up on me. Bought a Hotpoint and wish I hadn't. The dryer gave in after one use and we asked for a replacement which wasn't a hotpoint. | |||

| WOW! | |||
| This machine is quality through and through. You can tell from the first wash and dry. My clothes came out nearly dry from the 1600 spin and they didn't from the hotpoint with the same spin. The dryer is also very powerful for a combined product.
Well made and very highly recommended. |

| Could do with some form of child lock on the dial. My 20 month old, is fascinated by dials and buttons, and can easily turn off this machine by turning the dial. If it had some form of lock on the dial whilst it is being used it would be fantastic. | |||
| Buy this machine if you want good quality and clean and dry clothes. It is well made, come well packaged, even the delivery guys couldn't believe the amount of packaging on it. It has good energy ratings. What more can I say? | |||

| Quietest Machine Ever... | |||
| I searched high & low investigating Washer Dryers and although not the cheapest but, affordable, found this AEG one to have everything I was looking for - Timer Delay, Time Remaining Display - Good Energy, Wash, Spin efficiency etc.
It is very easy to use, remarkable quiet and washes beautifully |
|||
| The water attachment has a 4" filter attached to the end therefore as our water pipe is to close to the worksurface above we had to purchase an extension pipe - therefore the delivery man could not install?!? | |||
| Well worth the little bit extra money for quality | |||

| I searched for a Washer /Dryer at lenght on the internet and decided on getting AEG rather than the Meile which was way over our budget which was recommended on many websites.I bought it at the end of September this year .Its quiet,good cycles options and even has a time saver option. I just had a baby and it helps so much to get his clothes washed and dried the same day specially as I am using reuseable nappies! | |||
| The clothes can come out incredibly creased but this is apparently inherent of all Washer Dryers may it be any brand as my research tells me . I dont really mind that as I have a really good Steam generator which makes ironing easy. | |||
| Its very quiet and efficient. if you do not have the space for a separate tumble dryer go for it ! | |||
