| Build Quality, Good Looks, Very Quiet, Quality Components (eg. Stainless Steel Outer Drum (Most nowadays are plastic)), Wash Quality is excellent, Drying is good. | |||
| Nothing much in manual about drying levels (Normal+, Normal, Iron Dry, Washer Ironing) what do they all mean ?
Door tight to open when new. No guide as to how to pronounce the word "Miele" when recommending to friends. |
|||
| Most washers and washer dryers nowadays are not built to last ... people replacing "old" washers expect them to last as long as the old one but with cheaper modern machines, life expectancy is comparatively short.
With miele things have changed, they are built like I remember the machines of the past; metal panels which don't bend in the breeze, clear and well build switches, doors that open with a clunk .... In short, this is the best washer dryer I have ever used and it is worth paying the extra for the "Rolls Royce" |

| Whisper quiet, could not believe just how quiet it is. Easy display to read. Solid machine. Excellent number of programs and yes I will use them. You can just see the quality of this product, it knocks spots off the others that I have been to see and have seen on the web. Should last for 20 years so well worth the money. Excellent child lock for when its in use and when it's not-very important for us as we have a very inquisitive toddler in our house. I love the fact that it tells you if you have overloaded the drum and how much detergent to use. Yes it is cold fill only but the fact that it is A+ rated means that it cant be that expensive to run.This is such a clever machine. | |||
| It's weight, if you don't pay someone to install it, then get a team of mates round to help you move it once it's connected...This baby aint walking across the kitchen-that's for sure.
Lots of programs to get used to, but I don't really think that's a weakness once you get used to the machine. Just keep the manual to hand until you are at one with your machine. The price-It is pricey, but already I wish I had bought one years ago...and lets not forget that this should last you for at least 15-20years, unlike other washer dryers on the market who are on first name terms with the engineers. |

| When and if I win the lottery I now want a complete Miele kitchen with Miele appliances I am that impressed with this machine. No we are not loaded- I just did a lot of research on the web and decided that the extra money paid on this model was worth the peace of mind that comes with this brand..washer dryers are notoriously tempramental and I was quite nervous about making the switch...Now I am so pleased I have one, I hope it gives me many happy years as promised in the literature | |||

| Appears to be very good quality - ask me again in 8 years.
The results are currently marvellous. "Star Trek" computerised operation including washing weighbridge. Continues to amaze me with what it will do! e.g. continues occasional tumble for dried washing after end of cycle to avoid creasing. Miele is the machine of choice for shared flats in Germany and for residential homes. Even the drum lights up! But just when you have pulled up a chair and sat in front of the machine for an evening's viewing which is marginally more interesting than "My Big Brother's an Interior Decorator who goes to auctions - let me out of here!"...the light goes out. It is very VERY quiet. Particularly compared to the Indesit. |
|||
| - Cold fill only, so the cold water is heated up electrically with no option to choose your own (ecological?) heating source. Expect higher electric bills.
- Given the solid construction of the machine, it is strange that the manual should be printed on recycled toilet paper. - Door is hinged at right, not the UK standard left. - English display is pants. For instance, on the "rinse" display it says "Rinses". So another 14-year-old with "das Collinser Gem" has taken the say 5 words they need and bogged it! (My display is set to German to overcome this issue). Mind you, what REALLY matters about the pants is how they are washed, not the display! |
|||
| Anecdotally, all German -made washing machines (e.g. Bosch, Siemens) use water pumps made by Tyco in Speyer, Germany, which cost say 28 each. Miele make their own superior pumps - at 40 each.
If it's true I want to be part of it. The Miele is a marvellous machine so far. I am disgusted that the predecessor Bosch crash-dived into the floor at 7 years old, I now wish I had bought another Hotpoint or Indesit instead of buying the Bosch. Or a Miele! So that is my opinion: forget buying a Bosch, it's not worth it, get a Miele or a Hotpoint! |

| Just brilliant! | |||
| It looks great, it's easy to use and it does a brilliant job. It's really quiet and has useful features such as the buzzer which tells you the cycyle has been completed and the rinse out fluff button. You can register the appliance over the phone to ensure you get the guarantee which I found better than filling out the form as I was a bit short of time to meet the deadline. | |||
| The manual does need to be read quite thoroughly to fully understand everything it can do and for the first few washes you will need to refer it until you've got the hang of it. | |||
| I'd hear lots of bad things about washer dryers being rubbish so I thought I'd get the best on the market. Obviously the RRP was v high but having shopped around I found I could save about £400. I bought my Miele from one of the websites here and they had some good offers as well as offering a free 5 year warranty. I have had the Miele for about a week now and it's surpassed all my expectations. OK so the rubber door seal is a bit tight, better that than a flooded kitchen. I did wonder how good a job it would do of drying but it managed to dry jeans with no problem. I then tried some handwash wool and cashmere jumpers that I was going to get drycleaned and it did a great job! | |||

| The Best Washer Dryer In The World | |||
| I have long experience of Miele and how excellent the build and performance quality is. In short if you buy anything with a Miele label you know you are buying the absolute best and I guarantee you that you will be pleased with it. In the very unlikely even you have to contact Miele the response is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble. Forget extended warranties you simply do not need them. Use the money you would have spent on a warranty with an inferior brand and use it towards your Miele | |||
| The only weakness is if you fall on hard times you might not be able to afford to replace it with another Miele when it finally comes to the end of a very long life. | |||
| I have to disagree with the previous story. A long standing Miele user I had the same problem with the tight seal on the door. I remembered the yellow peg attached to the back of the soap drawer that you use to lever the access panel to the filter and Ive been using that to lever the door until the rubber gives a little. In short if you appreciate good wash results and looking after your fabrics you will not better a Miele. It is bloody marvellous. I thought I coud not better my 10 year old W960 washing machine and was wary of changing to the washer dryer but Miele just get better and better. Im so pleased its untrue, if it is possible to get excited about a washer dryer Im in orgasm. Anyone who has inferior brands like Hoover, Hotpoint etc you try Miele you absolutely will not be disappointed, and no I dont work for them | |||

| Poor Service & Equipment | |||
| I requested a Director to ring but no one could be bothered.
Stop Shoddy and poor Customer Service On the 12th January 2006 at approximately 14.00 I took delivery of a Miele Washer Dryer WT 2670. After reading all the glowing reports about Miele products I could not wait to try it out. By 14.15 the door would not even come open, after all there is no handle to assist with opening it!!! I was unable to even start to use it. I phoned Miele and was informed that the seal is very strong surrounding the door. I eventually got the door open, a frail person would have had no chance whatsoever opening the door and would have had a seizure or a heart attack. The gentleman I spoke to at Miele was as helpful as he could be. This was a new machine and he did not even have a manual to refer to. He advised me that someone would be ringing me back. Like a lot of companies these days with poor customer service, they of course never did. In the interim period I persevered with the machine wasting my time, loosing business and disrupting my own activities. In the end I ascertained that in fact the door lock would not lock for some reason or another. There was I with a chunk of unusable steel and plastic. My 20 year old Hotpoint only had one seal and a bush changed and there was this high tech piece of kit that did not even last 2 minutes. The gentleman I first spoke to rang back at approximately 17.00 to see if I had had a call back as promised but of course I had not. Once again like a lot of companies the old fashioned personal communicators (the telephone) are not used and they rely on emails. Of course if they are not read they are not dealt with, and that IS the case. I for one have had enough of crap service from companies which cost self employed persons billions of pounds and puts them out of business. It is about time that instead of whingeing over a pint the general public also should publicly name and shame these companies who are totally disrespectful and seemingly could not care less, after all why should they, they get their wages at the end of the month so it does not effect them. A company called Combined Precision Components LOGO Good People to Deal with failed to send me goods as ordered . They invoiced me for goods they sent to someone else and ignored THEIR error. I had to sort the matter out for them as they attempted to defraud me of monies. Besides all the aggravation THEY caused and an individual called Sophie Birch seemingly thinks that the time wasted is free of charge to us self employed when others get paid for not doing their job properly. They could not care less. I requested a small amount to cover the work they failed to do on my behalf and the problems they caused me, disgusting is the politest I can come up with. I noticed their error being in control of the helm as it were, a larger company would not have done so and they would have lost money. I suppose I will have to invoice them and take them to court as their outward arrogant attitude is not acceptable whatsoever and the inconvenience they knowingly caused certainly does not pay mine or anyone elses wages. |
