| What are the strengths? |
Without a doubt, image quality. Especially when being fed an HD signal via HDMI, where it just loves to show off! Perfect for a PS3 (regardless of what Currys salespeople say!). 3 HDMI connectors, in particular the side one, makes this a very very flexible big screen. Treat yourself to what is, in my opinion, the best 50" plasma in the market for this price. The remote is a thing of simply beauty, especially with the backlight function as standard! |
| What are the weaknesses? |
Sounds is a little bit feeble (it's good, but does not live up to the picture quality and size), so run it through your sorround set up for a perfect cinema at home. The glossy finish is beautiful, but a bit of a fingerprint magnet, especially when it comes to people that look with their hands!! |
| Summary |
After several months of INTENSE research, I can only say that this screen wins hands down when it comes to the competiton in the same price bracket. Even when compared to the Panasonic 50" (which was originally my first choice!), the contrasts and colours are that little bit better! Plus it adds that very practical 3rd HDMI on the side, which is perfect for HD camcorders. The only other screen out there that beats this is the Pioneer, and that's almost 3 times the price!! Get this screen and you won't be disappointed. |
