Title of review good job HP!
What are the strengths? Inexpensive; easy to use; great black-text quality. The enclosed paper drawer at the bottom holds 250 sheets. The 2600n's front wall flops out on sturdy hinges to expose the four combination toner-cartridge and imaging-drum units, whose convenient handles make changing components easy.
What are the weaknesses? Upkeep for the 2600n is expensive. Prints text slowly; expensive toner; mediocre color-graphics quality; USB cable not included.
Summary This HP is affordable if you want a simple color laser printer with wired networking, but it's sluggish. If you want a professional photo laser printer, pay the price for one. If you want a printer to replace your slow inkjet, this is it. Way to go, HP!

Title of review Not Worth It!!
What are the strengths? This pritner has very few strengths. It is easy to set up and use. It is inexpensive - one of the cheapest available printers in the market. It is a laser printer.
What are the weaknesses? It has only a 600 dpi. It is extremely slow, printing only a maximum of 10 pages per minute. It is big and takes up alot of space.
Summary There is hardly anything good about this printer. I definitely wouldnt recommend it to anyone. True, it is inexpensive and it is a laser printer. But what good is all this if the prints arent good?!? I regret buying it!!

Title of review quiet and a bit slow
What are the strengths? Inexpensive; easy to use; great black-text quality.. quiet, excellent text quality, acceptable graphics and photos, looks good (compact design and light), reliability from HP.
What are the weaknesses? Prints text slowly; expensive toner; mediocre color-graphics quality; USB cable not included.
Summary This HP is affordable if you want a simple color laser printer with wired networking, but it's sluggish. In my opinion this printer is one of the best printers for home and home-office needs with good quality print which acceptable for many purposes but this printer it isn’t enough for corporate using because it prints not speedily.

Title of review Not Good
What are the strengths? It is very reasonably priced. It is easily affordable. It is easy to use.
What are the weaknesses? It is big and bulky. It is very slow. It prints only around 10 pages per minute. The prints arent that great.
Summary It is truly shocking that an HP printer would be this bad. But the HP Color LaserJet 2600n is!! It is inexpensive and this is its most attractive quality. I have used it for a couple of weeks, and am in the process of replacing it now. I definitely wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

What are the strengths? price, quality, footprint, design, software, ease of use
What are the weaknesses? Initial set difficulties, service, hp website,
Summary Initially i nhad a heap of trouble connecting via usb. it simply wouln't work. loading the driver wouldn't happen. i overcame this by connecting to the network port. The USB still doesn't work. it is good to use though.

I ended up going thru the HP website to get some assistance. i found the site often confusing, and for no apparent reason, many of the menus constantly linked back to original help menus 5 screens ago. this was extremely frustrating.

I also tried the HP 'Active Chat'. I discovered it is zone and product category dependant, as to times of available service. when i finally worked out what i needed to say in the options boxes to get some support, i finally got thru. when i did the enthusiastic operator was unable to help. she pointed me in the direction of drives etc. thanked me for my call... 'is there anything else...' all the things to appear to be doing a good job were there... except for the good job.

It's got the paperdraw, led screen, multimedia bypass slot, and ethernet connector that the 2550 doesn't have, and cooler design. It is great to get colour laser with these spex at this price.

The software is intuitive, & i love the onsceen diagnostics. the straight thru paper path minimises jams, and assists simple removal of jams when they occur.

Everyone's going on about the slow speed. i dont have a problem with it. For the sort of printing it is designed to do, say one of graphics jobs, the main thing is 1st copy out time. Here it is competitive.

My machine came also with an inhouse marketing kit.
