| What are the strengths? |
As a Delivery Skipper I was looking for something that would stand up to a bit of wear & tear. This little unit is robust, chuncky and satisfying to the touch. It feels like it's going to last forever..! After firing up the unit for the first time I was impressed with it's ease of use and user friendly interface. I had read so many whining reports on GPS's as a whole & about loss of satillite reception, but this little beauty just keeps on going even indoors. I'll be taking it to sea next month where I'm sure it will really come into it's own. |
| What are the weaknesses? |
Could do with a barometer for maritme operations, but it's not a major problem, it would just be nice, as opposed to an altimeter. Not gonna need one of those at sea unless I ride up some 90 ft waves and I think I will know if Im in trouble or not..!!! |
| Summary |
Great unit can't recommend it enough. Great specs and scope for addtional functionality, with the addition of accessories and software; ie: maps, marine charts, case, memory cards, etc, even though the marine charts can be a a little pricey . But not complaining, I'm looking forward to many years faithful service and many trips across the Atlantic and through the Med...!!! |
