| Great product, easy to use, simple to setup, not so good value.
Get it for free at http://www.whypay.co.nr a new website to get any product for free. Seen on BBC Newsnight and definately not a scam as companies such as the co-op and the post office are involved. www.whypay.co.nr!!! |

| Beware | |||
| You can easily skip through commercials during playback.
Link channels works well. |
|||
| You can only record one program at a time.
You can't watch freeview whilst recording a program on a different channel. |
|||
| I was very disspointed with this product though it is my fault for not reading the details properly as I thought the facilities on my old PVR recorder (Humax 9200T) were standard now on all PVR's. Beware that if you want to watch one freeview program whist recording a different one you will have to have a separate freeview box. | |||

| top sony | |||
| excellent build quality, superb picture in lp mode and very easy to set timer in analogue. digital programme setting with guide function of course can not be any easier. the sheer number of recording options is staggering, i have not used them all yet but lp mode is excellent for every day use. initial setup is also easy peasy even my wife could do it!! out of the box to up & running in under five minutes, can't ask for more than that. well done sony. | |||
| none have come to light as yet, remote is a bit awkward. but that may just be me being used to panasonic kit. the menus are not quite as clear as the panasonic either but there really is not much to choose between them. | |||
| an excellent piece of kit, superb value for money & sony can be well pleased that they have matched panasonic in the picture quality stakes. | |||

| Fantastic hard drive, the fact that it will record on any DVD is a major plus in my books, the ease of use of the remote control. | |||
| The unit could do with two digital tuners, instead of one digital and one analogue, the Instruction book is a little bit complicated to understand. | |||
| On the whole a very fine machine, Sony should be very proud of it and anybody buying it will be very pleased with it. | |||

| Great piece of kit | |||
| Build quality of main unit, well laid out remote, picture quality, menu speed, and sheer quantity of features and functions. Very easy to set up and a quiet HDD. The EPG system is very handy, as is the "chase play / pause" live TV function. I went for the black one to match my amp, and it looks very smart. | |||
| My remote has a slightly loose piece of plastic under the "arrow" keys, which rattles when you press them. Some buttons are a bit small too. I've not had it long (its only just come out), but nothing serious to report so far. | |||
| Fabulous. I would definitely recommend this product. Its predecessor ('860) got rave reviews in the press, and this one appears even better. Its got everything you need from a player/recorder/tuner (assuming you don't need BD / HD-DVD, although I have a PS3 for that anyway). It even upscales to 1080p......nice. | |||
