| What are the strengths? |
It's design is striking and the metal body gives it a feeling of quality (but it doesn't live up to it unfortunately). |
| What are the weaknesses? |
Quality of coffee produced is unreliable - very rarely get any crema. We use the doppio measure but the machine only seems capable of producing a ristretto before bitter water starts pouring out.
Build quality is terrible. The machine has had to go back to Gaggia because the buttons broke and apparently this was a fault they were aware of because there was no charge for the repair. It has also suffered from an air lock. The quality of the steel body is not very good and the filter holder is very cheap and lightweight. |
