Title of review Does the job fine
What are the strengths? Price - astoundingly cheap at £25 from Argos
Functions, timer etc all work fine
Manual is very good and must have been re-written between some of the reviews posted here and now. It's plain English and very helpful if a bit patronising (it tells you to put a tissue under your chin when eating warm bread with butter so you don't stain your clothes with melted butter!).
What are the weaknesses? Build quality is average - the sticker that also has the buttons was lifting when I unpacked the unit - it has stuck down ok with light pressure.
I'm not sure how long the non-stick on the baking tin will last. It looks a bit thin, but maybe I'm wrong.
Apart from that fine so far.
Summary Superb value for money. We've set it at night with the timer and woken up to lovely fresh bread. Only used five times so far as I only got it this week, but I'm delighted with it so far.
I don't see why units at two to four times the price sell!

Title of review Wonderful Value
What are the strengths? Makes a really good loaf of bread, as well as the other usual things like making pizza dough, cakes etc.

I put it on the timer for a fresh loaf to eat for breakfast, but it went 'walkies' during the night, and fell off the kitchen worktop onto the floor! Although it stopped, and I didn't get my loaf, it withstood the bang, and still works perfectly. Don't place it too near the edge of the worktop!

It's strong enough to stand a fall of 800mm onto a solid tiled floor, fantastic value for £24.99 at Agos, does the same as the ones that cost up to £100 and I recommend it fully. Why spend more. It makes a horizontal loaf, (not vertical) nice shape, just lke you buy! Paddle makes a small hole in base of loaf, but not a problem. Hardly any washing up to do either, just the measuring jug, and spoon measure, the non stick bread bowl and paddle, all very functional. Takes me no more than 4 mins to measure every thing out and press the start button. From there on it's completly automatic!

The instruction book is excellent, and must have been recently revamped and gives quite a few good recipes, but the fun of using a breadmaker, is to experiment, to find that perfect recipe!

Foolproof timer, easy clean non stick bowl & paddle, keeps warm for an hour after finishing, and as many programes as you will honestly need.

Longest programme takes 3 hours total, and all programme times etc. are fully explained in booklet.
What are the weaknesses? Havn't found any yet!
Summary Brilliant value for money! Go on, get yourself one. What else can you buy for this money? Even if you don't use it very often, it's hardly a fortune! Very very pleased! I use it every day. Or my wife does !!!

Title of review Cookworks breadmaker
What are the strengths? Amazing value for money - £24.50 on special offer from Argos, who delivered it promptly. Bullshit-free, user-friendly, logical manual. Easy to use, and delicious results. The cheese and onion bread is particularly yummy.
What are the weaknesses? The manual needs proofreading, though one can work out what they are trying to say. The manual also promises to fall apart rapidly, so I will photocopy the recipe pages and get the photocopies laminated.
Unattractive-shaped loaf - a rounded off, rather tall oblong. No choice of loaf size or shape, but one could hardly expect this for the money. If things go wrong, there's no address in the manual.
Summary The qyuality of bread is as good as the quality of ingredients used. I have used Waitrose organic strong white flour with excellent results, and will try others.

Title of review Cookware Breadmaker
What are the strengths? Makes excellent Brown & Granary bread
What are the weaknesses? I can't seem to get the white bread right, may not be the machine's fault though I just follow the recipe.
Summary Best thing I've brought for a long while. It's nice to smell fresh bread in the mornings!

Title of review Loaves Sink
What are the strengths?
What are the weaknesses?
Summary I have bought this. A friend bought the Panasonic SD253 at the same time, so we have compared results, and tried the Panasonic recipe in the Hinari machine.

Plain white loaves, and 50% wholemeal loaves, made in the Hinari always have sunken tops. The Panasonic loaves do not sink, and have a lighter texture, which I think is much nicer.

My opinion - the Hinari loaves beat all shop-bought, including premium loaves, but I wish I had paid the extra and bought the Panasonic.

Does anyone know how to get the lighter texture, and a rounded top, in a Hinari?

I calculate an 800g loaf costs about 41p, using Tesco strong white flour.

Title of review Quality at an unbelievable price
Summary I am no expert on breadmakers, but my aunt ( who is) told me her cookworks breadmaker was every bit as good as any more expensive model she had previously used. She knows her bread so i was sold.
From the moment i got it out of the box i was impressed, the easy of use and versitility belies its low price. The quality of the bread and numerous other items that this produces are wonderful. If i can make good bread, good enough to impress my wife, then it has to be fool proof and easy to pick up.
If you are looking for a quality breadmaker, without fancy things like jam making, then i would say, dont wait, dont hesitate, snap one of these up from your local argos while you still can.

Title of review Brilliant breadmaker
Summary After reading a few reviews on the Pricerunner website I decided to go for the Cooksworks breadmaker as I am not fussed whether or not I can make different sized loaves and I don't intend to make jam etc. Super results as from the first loaf baked. Hot cross buns are also very nice and I am tempted to soon try the herb foccacia! Plenty of recipies and good results as long as you read all instructions before you start to use the machine. Baking times are not indicated in the recipy book. Excellent value for money and currently only £34.95 in Argos! Buy it.

Title of review Value for money purchase
Summary I purchased my Cookworks Bread Maker from Argos for £34.99 and before doing so, I looked around and compared prices for bread makers with a 1.5lb capacity and found that this one was the best buy. I use it every day to make a loaf and found it to be one of the best purchases I have ever made!

Title of review Great!!!
Summary Now only 34.99 at Argos, limited stock I believe. Cheap but works very well. Have to say its the only breadmaker I have used as I made bread the conventional way before. What a blessing this machine is. Have Just made my first loaf with it and it turned out very well. Can't wait to try the other recipes for it. Buy It.

Title of review Cookworks Breadmaker
Summary Excellent value for money, dont know why it says the cheapest price is £73 as it is only £39.95 in Argos. (which was advertised on this site when I bought it) Equally as good as my sisters Kenwood breadmaker which cost £120!! (who really wants to make jam anyway?!)Probably not suitable for a large family as it only makes a 1 1/2 lb loaf (about the size of a small uncut loaf). My children especially like the chelsea buns.
Only negative comment is it doesn't list how long each program takes.

A really good buy.

Title of review Lack of instructions
Summary As this is one of the cheapest breadmakers, it is extremely good value for money, and does appear to have all the functions of some of the more expensive breadmakers, although as a novice breadmaker I would have appreciated the instruction manual to be a little more explanatory!
It comes with a recipe book with 28 recipes, but the actual operating instructions in the instructions manual were not that descriptive.

Title of review Bread you'll love!
Summary This bread maker is very easy to use a child could do it! Justr add the ingredients and select the programme desired. It takes a minimum of three hours and 40 min. for a normal loaf. The final result is excellent and everything that you would expect. Very good value.
