I had to drive 38 mile round trip to Livingston on Saturday morning to pick it up! So much for free delivery. PS Courier info says Edinburgh branch, address is Livingston and the telephone number is Glasgow - confusing!!! |

I bought from Martin Dawes after reading a recommendation on Amazon and also that Hughes Direct, who I had bought from when I lived in Edinburgh, said thay would not deliver to my address in Caithness. A position I find difficult to understand.
There was a problem with the carrier in that he couldn't find my address at first, so it might be an idea to provide them with a contact number as some other suppliers do.
All in all though ***** rating. |

Excellent response, which has cooled my initial annoyance. The new product is working well. |

Only negatives are that the delivery took longer than I expected and it's a shame the courier company doesn't even guarantee a.m. or p.m. for the delivery - the delivery driver was very helpful and friendly though. |

| Overall rating |  | | Comments | Very impressed that within an hour of ordering the product we were contacted by telephone to explain that although the television we had ordered was currently out of stock, they were expecting another supply by the end of that week and giving us a date when we could expect to receive it. This information was extremely accurate.
Generally we were kept very well informed about delivery of the product both by telephone and email and we would recommend Martin Dawes to other people both for this reason and the fact that the television we purchased was a very good price and the description of the product was very detailed and accurate. |

Something I have never experienced when buying locally. The documentation is virtually unreadable as the print is so small. However once I got it all running with the help of a friend I'm quite pleased with my purchase. |

It was sufficiently lower in price than my preferred store, although the store gives a free 5 year warranty compared with just 1 year from Martin Dawes
The payment process was clear and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the order arrived. I cannot comment on the customer service as I did not have any need to use it |

I specified saturday delivery but this was ignored & no one from Martin Dawes contact me about suitable alternative but just dispatch the good anyway. The delivery time did not suit me as I work 9-5 Mon-Fri. The customer service personnel I spoke to on the phone was so unhelpful that he gave me an impression MD were not bothered about my dissatisfaction. I thought perhaps they were not bothered about my custom so I cancelled my order & am going to but the good from another retailer who cares about their customers. |

I had to leave the house for half an hour on the day of the delivery and sods law the delivery man came. He left the goods with a neighbour but did not leave me a note to say what he had done with my goods. Not good at all!!! |

An exceptional service and product choice and unbeatable price (Yes l tried all the high street electrical dealers, tesco and amazon, they could not touch Martin Dawes)

The shop was 200 gbp over the iternet price of martin dawesnet. they could not offer me the same price and said his hands were tied. so i went home bought it on the internet and after a couple of helpful tel calls from support arranged to colect at the shop saturday.
on arriving at the shop i showed the person the email as advised. he checked if it was in the shop advised me it was not there gave me the piece of paper bck put his hands in his pockets and walked off advising me it was nothing to do with them, different company. i was shocked and asked well where is it. relucatantly i must say he gave me the number of 0800 upstairs office who came to help me and a very helpful chap advised me that it was not here and still at the depot at winick roundabout. off i went thoroughly dissatisfied with my shopping experience with martin dawes. next time - comet ! AFTER TEACHING BUSINESS FOR 3 YEARS AT THE LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL,ruinning a 200 staff biotech in the UK ,germany and sotuhern california I can say with some experience and conviction that my overall experience of MD was very poor and my impression is that you have a bunch of very miserable demotivated staff from showroom to warehousing that need urgent retraining unless you wish sales and profits to fall !! |
