| Quality of retailer website | 1 / 5 | | Standard of service - items in stock | 3 / 5 | | Quality of sales service and warranty | 3 / 5 | | Standard of service - ordering | 1 / 5 | | Summary | I have been trying to use this retailer to buy a TV stand they were offering at a great price (advertised at £325 + £25 Standard delivery).
I had registered with the site a couple of days previously but forgot my password. After making three requests for a new password to be sent and being told each time that an email had been issued I realised that they must have a problem with their email (I'm on hotmail and other emails had been arriving timeously during that period).
So, after 45 minutes and no password reminder, I tried to proceed and order without logging in, however when I click to proceed, the site links my email with the account I'd previously set up and says sorry but you'll have to log in....catch 22!!
I then try ordering using an alternative email address...success!!.. or so I thought!! My delivery and billing address are different. I enter the appropriate billing and delivery address details at the ordering screen and click proceed, only then to be confronted with a payment screen which requests my card details and then ...wait for it....my billing and delivery details again.
The problem with this screen (presumably part of their e-commerce system) is that it has somehow picked up my delivery address from the previous order screen and is now using it as my billing address with no ability to edit it...!!
I tried all sorts of combinations to proceed and ultimately the only way I could proceed to confirm the order was if I accepted Kadoo's site using my delivery address as the billing address...low and behold the payment was rejected.
I then gave up and reluctantly phoned the sales line to be told that because I live in Glasgow the delivery charge would actually by £85 (not £25 as stated on the site). I'm sure I don't need to elaborate on what I did/said.
I am not the kind of person to write a complaint or review so this has really aggrieved me, I cannot stress enough stay away from this poor excuse for an ecommerce site and order from reputable traders like Dixons where I ended up with no mess and no fuss!!

| Quality of retailer website | 2 / 5 | | Standard of service - items in stock | 2 / 5 | | Quality of sales service and warranty | 1 / 5 | | Standard of service - ordering | 1 / 5 | | Summary | I cannot comment on "standard of service - items in stock" because the item I ordered and paid for was not in stock. It was a Hitachi camcorder for £202.00 for which I duly filled in the order form and the money was taken from my credit card on the 26th March. The next day I received a phone call to say that the item was not in stock and they didn't know when or if Hitachi would supply them. There was an offer to supply a less expensive model which I declined and then an offer to refund my payment which I accepted. It is now 9th April and the refund still has not been received in my account.
This is the second time this year that I have experienced this problem with internet firms and it creates a thought that there is money to be made by accepting payments and then delaying repayments even though there is knowledge that the goods are not in stock. Paying for something that does not exist seems fraudulent to me?????? I am in the mood to take legal action in this case. | | Do you recommend this retailer? | No |

| Quality of retailer website | 2 / 5 | | Standard of service - items in stock | 1 / 5 | | Quality of sales service and warranty | 1 / 5 | | Standard of service - ordering | 2 / 5 | | Summary | The money was taken from my card & after a week i was told my payment was declined due to mix up with my address (i'd recently moved) & needless to say, the goods were not sent out.
Had to phone 4 times to badger them into refunding my money.
Bad (incompetent) customer service.
I didn't even get an apology.
