SummaryMy experience of this company is inline with others.

Item ordered over 2 weeks ago and 3 phone calls later has still not arrived. Every time I call they promise to re-dispatch but nothing turns up.

I plan to report to Trading Standards, although their Channel Islands address may thwart this.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

SummaryI bought a Sandisk 2GB Pro Duo + 14 in 1 Card Reader and have now bought several items from MemoryBits - love their gadget section, it's great for gifts!

I'm very very pleased with the quick and efficient service they provide - and the prices are great too.

All items I have bought have been exactly as described and the remote control helicopter I bought my brother was a great surprise - it was even bigger than I had been expecting! MemoryBits is proving to be a very useful website to buy from! I look forward to dealing with them in the future!

SummaryRecently bought the LG Viewty. Memorybits seemed to be the best price and was impressed with the "Mobile Phone Memory Selector" application on their website. I choose LG as the manufacturer at step 1 and the Viewty model at step 2. The Memorybits website then stated "Step 3. These memory cards are all compatable with your handset. You can now place your order". I consequently selected the SanDisk 4GB Micro SD HC/ Transflash Card + adapter for £15.54 from their list. After inserting the memory card into the handset, the phone required it to be formatted. Upon format, only 2GB was now available although it was a 4gb card. I contacted Memorybits and after an apology for the inconvenience, was advised that they could exchange the card for me, to print off their returns form and return it completed with the faulty item and a receipt for the return postage (recorded delivery). They would then be in touch with me regarding a replacement item and a refund for the postage. I followed these steps and was requested by email that I contact them to discuss the exchange which I did. The customer representative was insistent that it was my fault for purchasing wrong item and should have checked to see the card was compatible before ordering despite their website clearly stating that it would be. I argued this point and was told that with so many handsets in the market they obviously had not got around to updating the website (as far I am concerned it should never have been put on there in the first place since it was never compatible to the handset). As I spent £15.54, I asked to get 2 x 2GB as a replacement which would have come to £15.96. Customer rep stated I would have to pay postage again plus an addtional 10% per their returns policy which states "all orders placed in error postage may not be refunded and a 10% restocking fee may apply." resultant in me having to pay an additional £3.60 on top of the £4.30 postage for returning the ill advised item. I argued the point to no avail so went with only one 2GB card and a refund of the difference. On the basis of this experience I would not use them again and would recommend others be wary of incorrect advise provided on their website. Whilst the prices were competitve and the web layout/design is user friendly, the level of customer service is amiss and perhaps £2 saving from the nearest competitor really wasn't worth it.
