Only quibble was with delivery and tracking. Product took 8 working days to deliver from point of order, (opted for standard delivery 4/5 working days) though it travelled quickly once dispatched - two days from e-mail giving notification of dispatch to delivery.
Would recommend Gobal Gizmos's based on experiences, but not for that last minute purchase. |

The Triton doesn't work as it should though and Magellan don't seem as good as Global Gizmos at keeping in touch with customers. I have approached them by Email but have not had a satisfactory result yet. The Triton 300 will not connect to a Computer and I have tried 4 different computers. |

| Overall rating |  | | Comments | Further to my telephone conversation with your company and subsequently ordering and buying my "NEW" Garmin Zumo 550, at no time did anyone from Global Gizmo's inform me that the Garmin Zumo 550 that your company has for sale are in fact "White Boxed and Newly Overhauled".
I expected to purchase a brand new Garmin Zumo 550 (V10 - 2008 Model) not "White Boxed and Newly Overhauled".
At no time was I informed by Global Gizmo's customer service or while proceeding through each stage of the buying process, web page, cart, and checkout online that the item for sale is "White Boxed and Newly Overhauled".
This is gross misrepresentation and against the consumer act to mislead customers.
I will pursue this matter further.

in the product description that it is a White Box model. We get this type of
complaint on average once every six months and it is because the customer
has not read the description fully on our website. White Box models work
perfectly fine but if the customer wants to return the item then they can do
for a full refund.

If i had been informed it was out of stock i might have got else where. I senr an e mail telling of my travell datr and mentioned it on the phone on the 5 june . Now over 1 month since I paid and still no delivered product. | | | Retailer's comment This customer purchased a Satmap unit from us.It clearly stated on the advert at the time that the item was out of stock with the estimate for shipping also given.Therefore the comment that we hadn't informed the customer of any delay until asking is incorrect.Also with regard to City Link , the customer complained to us about the service , after doing this we chased up the couriers and it was sorted out the same day.
Satmap Active 10 units are now available for any customer wanting to purchase one.

I paid express delivery which should be 2-4 days its now 5 days and the product hasnt arrived.
I couldnt get hold of anyone on the phone when they did eventually pick up they said there was a back log but still didnt give me a date for delivery.
I have had no delivery updates or emails expalining this so i am still waiting.
It would have been better if they could have informed me of the situation to avoid me getting frustrated. | | | Retailer's comment This is for a Forerunner 405 purchased on a "Pre-Order Basis" , these have now come into stock and all units have been posted out.It is somewhat frustrating that the customer has not read the detail right next to and very clear on the advert that it is a "Pre-Order" item with an estimated launch date given.As for the phone call and waiting, we are very very busy on launch days of what will be the best selling product of 2008.Any customer wanting to buy a Forerunner 405 , please note all models are now in stock.

My product had not arrived by Saturday 10th May, and as this was a birthday present for my girlfriend (her birthday Sunday 11th May), she did not have a particularly nice birthday. I was told that product hadn't yet been released by garmin but oddly after 5 minutes of looking on the web and 1 phone call i managed to find the product in stock and available for next day delivery. I think it goes without saying i will be cancelling my order as i still haven't recieved goods after almost 2 weeks. | | | Retailer's comment It clearly stated on the advert that this item was on a 'Pre Order Basis' , hence why the customer has not received it. As for other companies having one in stock , yes the european version is out but contains only euro plugs , ours contain Euro and UK plugs which is obviously why we have delayed launch until receiving the correct model.

The site it's self is very well put together it also displays other items you would not of thought of purchesing and are very tempting. The links to accesorys is very good and once you have entered your enital details the confermation of purcheses is so easy.
