SummaryI rang Teleworld to confirm stock availability and was told that the TV I wanted was in stock. I paid for premium delivery. When there was no call offering delivery within the promised 7 days I called Teleworld to be told that they were waiting for delivery from Sony, expected in 10 days. I phoned again in 10 days and was then offered a delivery in 2 days. The TV arrived as then promised and appears to be fine, but 3 weeks after order. I would have been happier if they had called me when they had stock to offer the delivery that they made after I called them.

SummaryI ordered Sony KDL40V3000, at the best price on the web, under the 28 day free delivery offer. I was contacted 8 days later but was not in. Rang back very pleasant to deal with on the phone and arranged delivery at my convenience. UPS pitched up on the requested day at 8am in the morning. Very simple, problem free transaction - delighted with the fantastic TV at a fantastic price.

SummaryI ordered a sony 32in 1080p HD tv almost 6 weeks ago and I am still waiting for delivery ! A week ago 16/6/08 I emailed teleworld enquiring about the item only then did they blame Sony saying there is a great demand and their order from Sony was not filled. Prior to my enquiry I heqard nothing, they have received payment and receiving interest on my money ! Absolutely terrible. I emailed them again 29/6/08 and they have not yet replied. Disgusting service and I will not be recommending them to anyone.

SummaryI initially waited 4 weeks only when I contacted Teleworld to be told they had no stock and blamed Sony. After getting my order cancelled the following week, I am still waiting for my refund some 7 weeks after I inittialy ordered. The LCD TV was purchased via credit card and Teleworld have in effect had my money earning interst for nearly 2 months!

SummaryI found Teleworld while looking for a Sony KDL40D3500 LCD TV, and was very impressed by their customer feed back. Decided to order TV from them, and I have to say have been very impressed by their service. TV arrived eight days later, communications from both Teleworld, and their courier were excellent. I new exactly how my order was progressing, and was able to follow it using the couriers tracking system.All in all a pleasant experience, and the price of the TV was also the cheapest I could find. I would certainly use this company again, and have no reservations in recommending them to any one else.

SummaryI purchased a 40" off of the Teleworld website under the free 28 working day delivery option, I thought I would have to wait that long for delivery but the tv was actually delivered in 11 days, by a very helpful delivery driver. I was told at time of purchase that if I wanted I could get it installed, so I asked the question to the delivery driver when he arrived and he fitted it there and then. It looks lovely on my wall well worth the extra money to get it fitted. Thank you all very much.

Summarydespite having to wait quite a long time for my television due to lack of stock, i am very pleased with my sony bravia. I had purchased on express delivery but someone else pipped me to the post, so i requested a refund of the delivery costs which appeared very quickly in my bank and steve even through in a free hdmi for the trouble.

SummaryOrder sony 32"s3000. Lived locally, buy locally. I was reassured very quickly by a succession of emails regarding stock and delivery for this model. After ordering they called me a few days later but was asleep. Then on Monday I got the surprised delivery before time after 6.30 and no questions asked.
I always thought a TV's image is projected on your mind no matter the size of the tv screen; you notice the tv is small is when it is switch off. Well at least it made the family quiet and glued to it. Need to find time to watch TV.Will update more. Start noticing more the background images.
Basic website/ordering/Bromley shop but does the job, I suppose with low cost, low price.

SummaryDon’t use this company unless you want o provide an interest free loan to them for an indefinite period. On 22/1/2008 I ordered a television, a Panasonic TX32LXD700, from Teleworld at their shop in The Glades in Bromley. I paid a deposit of £744.99 by credit card - the total amount of the cost of the TV. I was informed that the TV would be available approximately 28 days from the order. The full amount was charged to my credit card account on 23/1/2008. On 18/2/2008 I went to the shop and was told that they did not have a date for delivery as they were unable to get a TV from the supplier i.e. Panasonic. The shop assistant agreed to refund my money. He provide me with a refund slip for the full amount but stated that he would need to get my credit card refunded via Head Office as he was not in a position to do so at the Bromley shop. Despite returning to the shop 2 further times and calling TeleWorld several times I had not received my refund by 19/4/2008 so I am taking them to court.

SummaryI fond Teleworld on price runner as i was searching to purchase KDL40X3000 they had the best price i was excited that i could save a lot from high street prices bit concern over the some bad reviws they have so i phoned Teleworld and ask if they had the TV in question in stock the young lady call Mia was very polite and said they have it in stock so i asked if I order this tv on their express service when could i get it this was on tusday afternoon she said i could have the TV delivered on friday
so I hang up and ordered my tv
on wed mid they they rung me to arrange delivery for thrsday or friday whichever is good for me i decided to take the tv on thursday and was immpressed with the speed of their actions
TV turned up by Fedex on thursday afternoon
i am a proud owner tv is superb and the service i have recived from Teleworld is first class
i will use this co again and allready recomended them to my friend who is also looking to buy a TV
to conclued I am very happy with this co and may be they should check some of thier reviws and question them as from my exprience

SummaryNever, ever use this retailer. I ordered a Sony KDL-52X3500 early in March on the basis that is was shown as 'in stock' on this web site (for £2790). I then called the next day to check, and was told it would be 6-8 weeks even though they had debited my card.

I cancelled the order, and received email confirmation that my account would be credited within 7 days. Nothing was received, so I called them last week and was told that they always wait the full 30 days to provide a refund, and I would have it by the end of last week. Today, I still have nothing and have placed the item into dispute with my credit card issuer (Goldfish). They say it will take another 30 days for them (Goldfish) to credit me.

After I cancelled the order, I managed to find the product in stock at my local Sony centre, and negotiated £3200 including a 5 year warranty.

Moral of this story - call retailer to check if goods are in stock before placing order, and never, ever use Teleworld / MYLCDSHOP as they are fraudsters.

I found that it was a very pleasent experience, the process was dealt with quickly i had no problems with delivery i also felt they explained everything very clearly to me. I ordered a £400 Sony TV from the website. The site gave no estimated delivery date so I immediately had to phone to get one. They said up to 6 weeks so I cancelled the order and bought elsewhere where the price was the same but delivery time was 5 days.
Within the 15 minutes from order to cancellation, Teleworld/MyLcdShop had already taken full payment from my credit card despite having none in stock. It then took me 6 weeks of emails and phone calls to get a refund out of them, thus incurring interest charges on my credit card in the intervening period.
I called their customer service a total of 5 times about the refund. Each time they promised to call me back and 4/5 times they didn't bother.
With the exception of 1 phone call, they were entirely un-apologetic.

well i have recived a superb service from TELEWORLD
they rung me in the morning to say that my delivery address is diffrent then my billing address and they need to send me a leter for me to authorise for my goods to be sent to a diffrent address as this is theier system to combat Froud i thought this was a good shout
two days leater the letter arrived i done what they asked and posted back to them
very next they i recived a call from guy called phil to say they would like to arrange delivery and when would i like it
i said asap please my goods arrived the very next day
I am very happy with the service i have received from Teleworld and I am glad i have not been put off by the some reviews they have

SummaryMy experience with Teleworld so far has been the worst so far of my online retail experience to date. Absolutely shocking handling of events from a retailer that claims to have won the Sony 2006 Retailer of the Year award.

In short, I placed an order for a 40” Sony Bravia LCD TV after being assured that it was in stock & could be delivered within 48 hrs. Roughly 30 minutes after placing the order I was phoned back to say that they couldn’t process the order. Their system could not find my postcode. Very strange considering that the property is 16 years old & on Royal Mail’s system. Teleworld wanted to post a letter to my previous address & for me to fax it back (??) to prove my current address!

I informed them that this was unacceptable & cancelled my order immediately before they could process any further. I was shocked to find the day after that Teleworld had proceeded with the purchase & that my card had been deducted the full value of the TV as well as the £49.99 additional charge for 48 hour delivery!

Teleworld have acknowledged that the order has been cancelled & also promised a full refund. However I am still waiting after three weeks! I have informed Trading Standards, plan to inform Watchdog & pursue legal action through the Small Claims Court to recover monies taken plus any further additional costs incurred.

I also fully intend to contact Sony UK headquarters in the morning to discuss the use of their companies name by Teleworld. My advice to any consumer planning on placing an order with Teleworld would be to think long & hard before doing so.

SummaryAVOID TELEWORLD / 'MY LCD SHOP' LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!

MAJOR problems getting a refund for a non-delivered TV, described as 'in stock' on their website. Constantly & repeatedly lied to over the phone & by email, false statements that refund would be processed when it wasn't, that item would be delivered 'next week' when it wasn't etc etc. Their 'customer service' number is an extra-high premium rate number 0871 which they get call revenue from. These people acted like a typical COWBOY COMPANY in all respects, have now had to get my credit card company involved & pursue a refund under the Consumer Credit Act, as Teleworld would sooner keep the money , not provide the TV, & collect premium rate call revenue instead. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, GO ELSEWHERE

SummaryI had decided to buy a Sony 40X3000 LCD TV and a check revealed Teleworld were selling it at the best price. On Sunday I sent an e-mail asking if it was in stock, I wasn't expecting a reply but got one the same day and another confirming it was in stock on Monday so placed my order. I received a phone call to check that the next day was OK for delivery which it was. It arrived early evening by Fedex and it now takes pride of place in my lounge. What a stunning looking LCD and the picture leaves me speechless, but then I am a Sony fan! Sky are coming out to upgrade me to Sky HD in a couple of days. Thanks to Teleworld for the great service, they get my recommendation any time.

SummaryOrdered a t.v. for a friend paid for it on my credit card money was taken stright away. A week later received a letter from them asking me to send a credit card statement or utillite bill to prove i was not frauding my credit card because it might not be mine . I have filled in all i need to with my credit card company so i told my card company what they wanted and they said it is none of there business they taken my money quick enough so i cancelled it a week for them to send a letter, a week to process the letter i send them and then 25 Days for them to send the tv out my credit card money is in there bank now i find out it is going to take 30 days for them to put MY MONEY BACK ON MY CARD O AND WHO GETS THE INTEREST THEM what a con so no i would not recommend this crap retailer now im going to take them to court

SummaryOrdered a Panny TV researched the web and found Teleworld to be very competitive. The only delivery option was "within 28days" this obviously means "we have none in stock".

My first call to them was after 21days when they said they were waiting for a delivery. After chasing them further I am told that Panasonic have stopped making the model that I had purchased and I could wait for the new one due 1st or 2nd week of March (the sweetner was it would be at the same price as the "old one").

No contact from the, no up date of my purchase on their webpage Hence the poor rating of the website) the only time I heard from them was when I rang them or emailed them.

Anyhow the last week of March I receive a call FROM THEM - we have them in stock - arranged for delivery took the day off work......guess what it didnt turn up!

Arrived the next day at 3pm.

The TV is great at a great price - would I use again - NO WAY!!!

this company takes your cash (almost £900) and then couldn't give two hoots about the client - AVOID

SummaryI found Teleworld at price runner i coudnt go directly to their website so i had to phone them up pleasent young chap answered the phone i explained that i was after a kdl32s3000 and had few questions which he answered them all i then said that i wosn't milion miles from one of thier store and enquired how quick will the delivery be he said goods were in stock he can contact their delivery guys to see how quick it will be he put me on hold and few min later he advised me that if i ordered now which was 1.30pm he would have it delivered by 5pm i was very suprised of this i didnt think it could be done but he assured me that this will happen so with courtion i agreed to go ahead with the order pleasent experience so far i thought once my order was prossed he gave me my order no and said enjoy your new tv sir
their delivery van turnded up just before 5pm and the young chap asked me where would i like it i ased him to put it in the lounge he did with no fuss i signed the delivery note and he said thank you and went

SummaryPlaced order and my Credit Card was immediately debited. After waiting 3 weeks for the TV there was still no sign of delivery and after contacting them a number of times they where still unable to tell me when I would get my TV so I cancelled my order. It then took nearly 4 weeks and many e-mails and phone calls to get a refund. A refund was only given after threatening then with further action. Totally unacceptable.
In their defence they did reply to most of my e-mails (although it takes days) but they never return calls when you leave a message. Need some serious lessons in custom service.
In the end I ordered with 1st Audio Visual, after Teleworld they where like a breath of fresh air.

SummaryI had ordered a Sony tv from these jokers from since early Jan 08 and guess what. it still have not arrived! Wheres the customer services may i ask myself? Not even a phone call to say "I am sorry sir etc, etc" I had spent loads of times calling these clowns and no responce from them. What was even worse. is that i left messages with other staff in which to pass onto. they said they would get someone to call you back today. and guess what? They dont have the bare face manners to call back! All it takes is information to the customers. Dont treat us like fools as its us that make your business keep going. i think the staff needs to go on a cusatomer service focus course. As for the internet and in stock...Well again, and lie and a total lies again.. Whats in stock and what isnt you will have to treble (NOT DOUBLE) check before ordering....poor customer service and they might as well fold up and go abroad.......do i recommend this retailer.......hell NO.....stay away !!!!!

SummaryI CANNOT recommend this retailer. I waited 28 days for my TV-nothing, no telephone call to say when or if it was coming. I phoned them, was told that it was not in stock. I then cancelled my order as there was no guarantee when I would get it. I am still waiting for my £639.99 refund. TV was ordered 4th of January, this is now 27th of February. I have contacted them several times and have received some explanation about servers being down when order was processed. I just want my money back as they failed to deliver when they were supposed to. It cannot take 25 days to issue a refund. My next move is trading standards as I am at a loss what to do next!
