Big City Digital - Information

Ordered a Panasonic DMC-TZ5, because it was quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere. Emailed a query on Friday about my order, and actually got two courteous replies. The camera was dispatched quickly and I received it with no hassles on Tuesday. Would happily use Big City Digital again.

I ordered a Panasonic TZ5 on Thursday 11th September after being reassured of delivery by Saturday 13th for my sons birthday party. I received a confirmation email as soon as i placed the order and my camera came on Saturday as promised. I would recommend Big City Digital and will certainly be using them again.

I ordered a camera with this retailer ,it showed in stock with a disapatch within 48 hrs,a week later I am still waiting, I chased a couple of days ago and was told that I would receive delivery yesteday 10th Sept, I arranged for somebody to take a day off work, the item did not arrive,I have tried contacting them by email as their telephone is continually engaged to see what is going on, I ordered the camera as a birthday present which is now too late.I would not use them again and would pay extra for a better service for another retailer.I have ordered online for a number of years and this is without doubt my worst experience.

Had the choice between this retailer and another offering the same product at the same price. Would not go with them in the future even if I had to pay more with another retailer. Order product which was in stock but in fact it was not in stock, was delayed by 7 working days. When I contacted them, they lied about when it would be delivered, and they tried to blame me for not being home when the courier tried to deliver it. When I contacted the courier it was another lie about the courier trying to deliver it rob on customer services was just trying to fob me off.

IN A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS ON SUNDAY 17 AUGUST I ORDERED TWO LENSES FROM BIG CITY DIGITAL. AS I HAD READ NO REVIEWS ABOUT THEM AFTER I HAD ORDERED THE LENS I BEGAN TO HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS. THE LENSES WERE QUITE EXPENSIVE AND BIG CITY OFFERED A 32% DISCOUNT WHICH REALLY TEMPTED ME AS THEIR PRICE COULD NOT BE MATCHED BY ANY OTHER RETAILER. OBVIOUSLY I DID NOT EXPECT NEXT DAY DELIVERY. I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL CONFIRMATION ON TUESDAY 19 AUGUST THAT THE ORDER HAD BEEN DESPATCHED AND THE LENSES WERE DELIVERED TO ME AT 11.00AM THE NEXT DAY. HIGHLY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND DELIGHTED WITH THE PRICE I PAID

Took a gamble buying from Big City Digital as I couldn't find any user reviews of the site (which is why I'm writing this one), but could not be happier with the website. They had a really good offer on the camera I wanted and a cool-looking website so I just went with it. Despite steep shipping costs of £8 being the only option, everything went really well, and I received the camera the next day in perfect unopened condition (which you would expect anyway). I don't really know about customer service since I didn't have to deal with them, but I reckon most people wouldn't need to as I certainly didn't have anything to complain about. So yeah, highly recommended website, and I would definitely not hesitate to purchase from them again.
