Advised by telephone on 11/4/08 that delivery would be on 16/4/08. Received text on 15/4/08 confirming delivery would be am on 16/4. Call from driver 11am on 16/4 that they would be at my home in 20 minutes - and they were. Cannot fault the whole procedure at all.
On the face of it not the cheapest price for this TV but factor in the 5 year guarantee worth about £250 (which I would have bought anyway) and they beat the rest by a good £200 + their returns policy is outstanding.
I highly recommend John Lewis on my experience.

The first was a Bosch fridge freezer and now have ordered a LCD tv. The freezer has a 2 yr guarantee and the tv has a 5yr one, all free.The delivery was arranged a couple of days after ordering by a phonecall from them, both within 7 - 14 days, in the case of tv 7days.
Only bad thing i can say is we don`t have a JL near to me , would like to go instore sometimes but at least i can go online. | | Do you recommend this retailer? | Yes |

The website says 7 days delivery but when the confirmation comes, it will say 14 days.
You are also told that you will not be debited until the item leaves the warehouse. I was charged, even though they cancelled the delivery the evening before. After numerous phone calls, I was told that I had to wait another week for the next delivery or up to a week for my money back, leaving me without the washer or the money to go elsewhere.

I used standard delivery. The website said it would not be delivered until after Christmas, which was fair enough. However, the tv was delivered before 11am the next day.
