CommentI placed an order with Next Day Shipping from this company for an item that I needed by the next day. Despite all the payment information being correct, they called my phone and left a message saying they needed me to call back to confirm the order. I was unavailable to do so until after their business hours, so my order was not shipped same-day as promised. Now I won't receive it in time and I'll have to go through the hassle of canceling the order.

Why do none of the reputable resellers require the phone call? I suspect it was going to be an attempt to sell over-priced accessories.

I will stay away from Expansys in the future.

CommentExpansys claimed to have items in stock. This was not true. There tracking system gives very optimistic values. Expansys does have a Swiss website and a Swiss phone number. However, I could not find there office in the telephone book. Every phone call will be answered from there office in Germany. I believe they know well, that items are not in there stock - in my opinion, a cutomertrap.

SummaryHaving made a previous purchase from this company via their subsidiary - Global Positioning Systems.co.uk I had no hesitation in placing further orders with them. My initial order for a TOM TOM sat nav was handled promptly and efficiently, as I expected . However later I decided to place a further order for some accessories (3). On the website all 3 were shown as in stock. However when I got the order confirmation this changed to 1 in stock the other 2 showing a delay of 1 day - not too bad so I didn't worry. A day or so later I checked again - 2 items now in stock with the last one showing 4 days delay. I was given the option of paying extra postage & packing to get the 'on-stock items immediately. I queried this and asked for the onstock items to be shipped immediately (without additional cost). The reply I got was disappointing. The third item was further delayed - now another 13 days (so in total some 18 days from the original date of order)- but no response to my request to ship the other items immediately. I decided to cancel my whole order. The cancellation was promptly executed - so far without comment.
The item delayed is still shown on their website as 'in stock' (20:00 hrs 14/02/08)
I also subsequently noticed that one of the items I ordered was shown as compatible with the TOMTOM 920T - however having now checked with TOMTOM it is not.
Overall disappointing considering my previous good experience
