| Overall rating |  | | Comments | Do not use Pixmania to order anything that is of significant value, I ordered a £890 Toshiba LCD on the 25th Feb, two days later I recieved an e-mail asking for copies of passport/household bills, which I was not willing to give and did not have the facilities to do so (no fax, scanner etc). I emailed for a refund the very same day knowing their policy is ment to refund in 4 working days. Its now the 6th March and only now I have recieved and e-mail (after several e-mails to them)confirming my refund will be in 4 working days, which should mean the 11th of March, a total of 14 days!! I thought buying over the internet was ment to be quick, easy and stress free, if your looking for this experience don't use PIXMANIA. | | | Retailer's comment Thank you for your review. Pixmania tries to maintain a continuous level of stock, due to the unexpected success of certain product; the manufacturer is unable to keep up with the demands. Normally the customer should receive an email stating when the new delivery date for the warehouse will be. When Pixmania customer contact us by email they must go to our frequently asked question, if a customer replies directly to one of our sent email this might sadly be not received by Pixmania. We do send an email to our customers stating how to contact us. Concerning a refund, this normally takes up to 4 working days. Despite the address label indicating that the item was coming by first class post, it took 7 days to arrive - a total of 12 days from the order being placed until it was delivered. The Royal Mail tracking system was a joke - on entering the the reference number on their site I was told that they not give any information until a couple of days after the item had been delivered and signed for - a total waste of time! |

All data for the transaction added to order form from my password - this speeded all things - excellent, but my previous orders were delivered to my business address, in this case I wanted to deliver to home address - this was not very easy.
Things were complicated because delivery was made by partner Curry's.
Staff very helpfull but I had to make 5 telephone calls to change the delivery. |

I was particularly happy with the delivery itself - I was informed early on that the delivery day would be on a Sunday which was great, I was telephoned the night before & given a four hour time slot for delivery & telephoned again about 15 minutes prior to delivery. Additionally, at the time of ordering, I was given the option for my old machine to be taken away, I took this & was very impressed that it only cost me £2.35 for this service. For the whole experience, credit where credit is due - well done. |

I ordered a tumble drier and dishwasher on Tuesday, your site was very easy to navigate even for an OAP like me! I was able to select and pay for my order in just a few minutes and then had my order confirmed and was advised of a number to ring for a 4 hour delivery slot on the Friday.
The items were delivered by Currys, firstly with an advance phone call saying they would be there within 30 minutes - and they were. The two delivery men were cheerful, polite and helpful and as we were moving early March and didn't want to open the items till we moved they wrote Boxed on the order for me to sign and said any problems when we did unpack then to contact Currys.
All in all an excellent service that I will tell friends about, we hear so many horror stories that t is great to commend good service, so well done Pixmania and Currys for a really great service.

Most of our equipment is European and the electrical plugs are generally 2 pin continental plugs, the voltage is the same and our products are the same spec as you would get in the UK (This is stated in the terms and conditions). | Overall rating |  | | Comments | This was possibly the most frustrating online purchasing experience I have had in a long time (and I buy a lot of things online).
I can't remember the details now, but if I missed any detail on the purchase form, other information I had already completed got cleared and had to be typed again.
However THE most infuriating thing was the lack of a confirmation screen to check (and if necessary amend) the details of my order, invoice address and delivery address. Added to this is the fact that there is no way for me to amend my own account details, so that when I discovered that I had mistyped the delivery address post code, the only thing I could do about it was to fight my way through FAQs to find an email address I could actually contact you on, and even then, nobody fixed the post code, which as far as I know is still wrong.
Since I can't check my account details, I don't know. Of course, this means that if I ever order something from you again, I'll have forgotten that the post code was wrong, and my order will get delayed again while the courier's local delivery depot corrects it.
To add insult to injury, the order confirmation you sent me (on a Sunday evening) included a link so that I could change my order details, but following this link told me it was too late to change it. When I dug about in your website to discover why, it was because I had paid by Credit Card. How many people DON'T pay by Credit Card? And on a Sunday night, I don't believe for one minute that my order had already been passed to dispatch ... particularly as it wasn't actually dispatched (late, and then further delayed by the incorrect post code) until several days later.
Not being able to change details of my own account (password, address, etc.) is insane. Not only does it mean that I can't amend details in time to correct any errors before dispatch, but it also means that you have to tie up your own staff and incur possible transcription errors if I do manage to work out how to contact you to get anything changed. And in the case of a password, there's absolutely no WAY I'm going to entrust that to somebody else to enter on my behalf!! I'm amazed you even consider doing it this way.
Finally, although I didn't receive email to say so, my online account suggested that my order had been dispatched a day before it actually left you.
All in all a bit of a mess, and not a process that I'm inclined to repeat any time soon, which is a shame, because I've happily used Pixmania before, and your prices are competitive.

However, through no fault of Pixmania, i purchased the wrong product and Customer Support were very good and accepted my return of goods. However from this point, the service level dropped rapidly. I have been waiting since the 16th for the item to be collected but with no joy. i followed weekly to start of with and have ended up having to call them almost on a daily basis. Some staff have been excellent in teh support but others have been lacking support even to indiffernce. i am still waiting with no end in sight causing me huge amounts of incovenience. Over all experince tarnished at the end. |

Delivery time was good but I ordered a "pack" including a HDMI cable with my DVD player. These items turned up on different days. The plug for the DVD was EU type which was not stated in the spec and I had to go and get an adapter to be able to finally use the DVD player. |

One order in two deliveries, first parcel the box was about 10 times bigger than it had to be, second parcel about three times bigger than it had to be. I would have been perfectly happy to have waited the extra day and had everything delivered in one parcel and even then the box would have been twice the size required as i'm guessing it was the smallest box they use. |
