Dell duely took my money and gave me a very reasonable guestimate of "within 4 days" for delivery. This has now been pushed back to the 22nd September due to:
"Fulfillment-Delay
Our suppliers are preparing your order for delivery - however at least one item isn't quite ready. For more information please see below."
I tried to call them yesterday and got passed from person to person *THREE TIMES*. Is this typical of Indian call centres??? Each time, they'd ask for my order number, confirm my identity and then say they'd pass me onto somebody who can help! Eventually I was told "there is a delay" and was asked to be patient! Well, the website told me there was a delay! *rolls eyes*
This is the first and absolutely the last order I'll ever place with Dell, and that's if I don't cancel it due to impatience!
My advice would be to pay a few extra £££ and buy from another online retailer who is a little more honest and up front about their current stock levels, and who don't have an Indian call centre who pass you from one person to another before trying to fob you off with lame excuses!
Once again, Dell live up to their terrible reputation. I thought this simple order would have been.... simple! Unfortunately, they are not capable of handling it. | | Do you recommend this retailer? | No |

I paid for the extended warranty, and yet still have not had 1 day of a fully functioning computer. They have failed to call when promised, and have twice tailed to send a technician when promised. Yesterday was the final straw. They had a technician help me over the phone, and she took control of my computer via the internet. By the end of it what had been a small issue had turned into my computer not booting up. the problem was made far worse by the useless technician. They now need to totally reinstall Vista, and have left me without a fully functioning computer for 3 weeks until I am back in the country. Very useful if you rely on your computer for anything. I'm sure they are fine if you get a computer that functions properly, but the support has totally failed me, and not just once. | | Do you recommend this retailer? | No |
