The whole experience was ruined by a number of factors. Delivery was promised between 09.00 and 13.00 (Why such a large band when vehicle routing systems provide accurate times) but the actual delivery was later than 13.00. To make matters worse the delivery driver was smoking (Unacceptable habit) on arrival and the machine was manhandled of the rear of the vehicle (Potential damage) I have complained to Sainbury's Kitchen Appliances but have not received the common courtesy of a response. I shall now complain to Sainsbury's.
Customer services were very helpful and considerate. Delivery was on time. Checklist was emailed prior to delivery. Delivery drivers were careful and polite.
3 days from order to delivery, could not fault the service, not the lowest price but worth the extra couple of pounds for the peace of mind
I experienced TWO cookers delivered extremely damaged by Currys and being left without gas,cooking facility(old cooker taken for recycling, heating & hot water with no offer of help to rectify the situation quickly. So when my cooker arrived even earlier than expected from Sainsburys in perfect conditionwithout even as much as a finger mark on it I was extremely delighted. Also the customer reviews on their website were not only accurate (some finicky) but the cooker does everything claimed so my wife is also very happy. Thank you Sainsburys.
First machine arrived badly damaged so returned on delivery van. Very disappointed to have to wait another 7 days for replacement. As packaging damaged, it was done on the van or in loading. If the latter it should not have been delivered.
It was not clear that my product had to be backordered from the manufacturer which took 4 weeks!! The price comparison sites all confirmed stock! I was telephoned to confirm delivery the day before which was good and was also contacted the morning of the delivery by the driver too who when asked to give 1 hours notice of delivery was most unhelpful stating he was too busy. The actual delivery missed the delivery slot by 3 hours (so I was home and didn't need the notice) and the item was quite bashed and dented but not so bad that I wanted to wait another 4 weeks without a washing machine. The dents turned out to only be cosmetic so all is good in the end. I will be thinking twice about using Sainsbury's or any other DRL provided service again (Boots etc.).

Everything was excellent until delivery of the washing machine. Because I had a wall mounted connection unit and not an electrical socket the delivery men were unable to 'fully install' my washing machine as they were "not qualified electricians". However despite "not being qualified plumbers" they WERE able to remove an unnecessary T connector pipe and plumb the washing machine in as required. As I was away on business for a few days the machine was then left out of position in the kitchen until my return.
Long delivery slot, an they turned up 10 mins before the end of it - would be helpful to be rung to be told where we are in the list of deliveries.
The level of customer care was superb, both from the team at the ordering centre and from the two delivery guys who were brilliant. I don't believe I've ever received such fantastic service before. A*.
