Call up your credit card companies and find out exactly how much you have left to spend
Breathe a sigh of relief that the new boots, trousers and watch you bought yesterday went undiscovered
Go shopping – it’s perfect for letting off steam
You are still angry – it's your partner/ flat mate spending the money!
Feel guilty and start to wonder if you could have actually bought those trainers cheaper than you did
Take the argument on board and start thinking of ways to cut corners

Your friend at work turns around and asks you whether you are going on holiday this year, do you:
Spend your lunch hour wandering past all of the local travel agents and day dreaming about all of the deals in the window
Relinquish the chance to tell a fresh face about how you are going on exactly the same holiday as John in accounts but bought it at half the price online!
Make your colleague promise not to tell anyone and reveal that you have secretly booked a holiday with your friends, you couldn’t resist - but you haven’t told your partner yet
Excitedly tell your colleague about the two holidays that you have been on already and the next one coming up in December
Tell them all about the holiday that you have planned, it was the next place on your list of planned destinations and you already know all of the places you want to visit when you get there

It’s Friday night and you are off for a night on the town, do you:
Go in to your favorite bar, catch the barman’s eye and order your usual – it’s exactly what you were after
Continually change your mind, so many drinks and so little time
Order a new and exciting cocktail and pay on your card
Research online for that great bar that serves cheap drinks, you forgot last time and paid heavily for your mistake!
Study the menu intensely, so many delicious drinks available – and then order tap water
Order champagne and hide the receipt

It’s time to do you your weekly food shop. You:
Think about what you want to order but then sneak different treats into the trolley when nobody is looking
Walk around the supermarket cautiously taking in the BOGOF offers and use these to determine your choices
Grab your list – you will not be deterred by the special offers for food that you don’t need
Click ‘purchase’ on your freshly selected online supermarket order – your details are already logged in the system
Set yourself a £40 limit and then spend double – oh well you can always freeze it!
Go to your local shop see the extortionate prices and then re-route to the cheaper shop that’s further away – every penny counts

Your phone bill arrives and you:
Annoyed, you meant to cancel that contract when you bought a new phone at the weekend – and make a note to self to cancel that day.
Intrigued, it’s itemised, so you check that everything makes sense on the bill and compare it to what you had been expecting.
Smiling with glee - your new contract is spot on… it took you a while to get there but at last you are happy with your tariff.
Panicked, you stuff the phone bill up your jumper before anyone else gets to the post – phew! You will look at it later.
Already transferring money across from your online banking account to pay your bill whilst making a few business calls.
